Chuck is a captain with the Liberty Township Fire Department in Palestine, Ohio. He joined Liberty Township FD in 2007, where he is also part of the cadet committee. He also served with the Northwest FD in New Paris, Ohio from 2004 to 2006 and served in the US Army from 1990 to 1996.
Captain Chuck Hapner was involved in a serious vehicle accident on Monday, January 30th, 2017 in Preble County, Ohio. He was flown to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio by Careflight with a severe head injury. As of February 17th, he was wake and doctors were talking about tube out and transferring him to a specialty facility within the next week. He was unresponsive for 10 days with only movement to pain. Even those his eyes open he does not remember anyone. He was on a vent for several days. He has a long road ahead of him and will need a lot of treatment and rehab.
We at Brothers Helping Brothers were founded upon helping a fellow firefighter in need. We continue this tradition by holding this raffle. We are raffling off a custom made recycled fire gear duffle bag, a $200 value. This duffle bag will be made to your specification. Your choice of gear manufacturer (Morning Pride, Lion, or Globe) and striping (yellow/silver or orange/silver). If you would rather us to use your gear we will, but winner must pay for shipping of their gear if not local.
All proceeds of this raffle will go directly to the Hapner family. Only 500 tickets will be sold, so your odds are 1/500 for each ticket. Raffle ends May 31st, 2017 and winner will be announced/notified June 1st, 2017 or if case of all tickets selling out raffle will end day of sell out and announced/notified next day.
